Samsa by Maximilian Jencquel

Inspired by Indonesian carpentry, Venezuelan-born Balinese designer Maximilian Jencquel created Samsa with his signature humble timeless aesthetic in mind. The teak frames are reminiscent of teak scraps Jencquel sees regional carpenters reuse as useful objects. "They are improvised pieces of art, maybe comparable to Jazz music,” says Jencquel. “They are creations of the soul for the soul.”
