Off the Loom: Villa del Sol Spring Campaign
Creating a beautiful and engaging collection campaign is daunting work on it's own. Creating a campaign during a pandemic? Overwhelming to say the least. Discover how Perennials leveraged a longing for vacation time into a tropical Spring 2021 campaign.
Imagine your toes in the warm sand. The sound of ocean waves. The soothing feel of a sun-drenched chaise. Given recent home-bound circumstances, this idyllic scene is farther away than ever for most of us. Perennials is here to provide a slice of the tropics at home. The Spring 2021 Villa del Sol collection is filled with breezy patterns and bright hues. Three new fabric qualities and five new rug designs bring resort living to clients’ backyards.
Location! Location! Location!
Setting the scene for a resort-inspired collection required… a resort. The Perennials creative team searched for a shoot location that could double as a hospitality and residential setting. A picture perfect resort in the south of Florida proved to be the ideal solution. With lush vegetation and beautiful grounds, plus beach access, the Perennials team had tons of backgrounds to choose from for a variety of shots.
Perennials Creative Director Tom Nynas explains, “Our location on Islamorada captures the tropical wonder of Villa Del Sol’s signature qualities: Palmetto and Breezy and reminds us that we’ll soon emerge from this pandemic and return to the places and spaces that recharge our spirits. Until then, hopefully these photos can recharge them just a little bit.”
Ever wonder how Perennials gets those gravity defying shots or surprisingly pretty spill images? It involves creativity and a wee bit of trickery. From human props to precise spill placement, the Perennials creative team goes the extra mile in making our campaigns beautiful and eye catching.
To align with the Villa del Sol vacation vibes, what better way to show a spill than breakfast in bed. Room service? Ultimate hospitality perk. Perennials 100% solution dyed acrylic yarns are built to resist coffee, mimosa, jam, and other spills that may come with a continental breakfast.
Ready for a Close-Up
The best way to show Perennials Rugs’ exquisite texture and color blending is the close up shot. For instance, the newest rug construction, Shaggy, is a flatwoven rug with shag detail, allowing for a luxe textural moment.
With THOUSANDS of poms to choose from, Perennials rug designs feature an insane amount of color blending (and can be completely customized!). This is especially evident in our new marine-inspired Tide Pools design. From afar Tide Pools is a deep verdigris hue, but up close, the drop stitch rug reveals gorgeous depth and color blending.
Whether it be in your living room or on the patio, we hope the Villa del Sol collection gives you relief from life’s chaos (and spills). You might not be able to sink your toes into sand, but a plushy rug might suffice…
